DAGENHAM came from behind to deny Newport a first away win in League Two.
The Exiles were much the better side in the first half and deservedly led through Chris Zebroski's goal, a splendid team effort.
However, County couldn't find a second and paid the penalty after the interval when Abu Ogogo swept home with 20 minutes remaining.
Torrential rain made conditions difficult but both teams had chances to win it, Andrew Hughes spectacularly denying sub Afolabi Obafemi at the death. The Exiles also had a strong second half penalty appeal turned down.
