U15 Junior Premier League: County 6 Bournemouth 0
Newport County welcomed Bournemouth to the International Sports Village for their first home match of the season. The game started in typical fashion, with both teams battling in the midfield area.
The game settled down and some good play down the right saw the ball crossed into the box and Hanford slotted the ball into the roof of the net for County.
Bournemouth, although a goal down, continued to play good passing football.
Newport defended well and their second goal was gifted to them from an unfortunate own goal.  Four more goals for County from Hanford, Wakeham, Hadley and Hanford’s third followed in a match that was played in excellent spirit.

U14 Junior Premier League: Albion 3 County 4
The JPL season was off and running with a closely fought match between Newport County and Albion SWDC in Bristol
Albion took the lead inside 45 seconds. Newport equalised through Sam Snaith shortly after through a mistake from Albion, but Albion were soon in front again. Newport then made it 2-2 through a corner right before the first break with a goal from Brad Cotterill.
The game became very cagey, with both sides having periods of possession, with Albion in the lead again. Another Newport set piece saw Cotterill equalise, again good movement from a corner and then with time running out Newport took the lead to make it 4-3 through another set piece and a third goal for Cotterill

U13 Junior Premier League: County 3 Solihull 4
Newport County welcomed Solihull Moors to Llanwern High.
In the first period, Newport went 2-0 up within five minutes, the first an own goal and the second an excellent finish from Lucas Murray. Sol Moors then hit back to make it 2-2.
In the second period, Newport extended their lead through a well-taken penalty from Callum Eva. Sol Moors then hit back in the third period to make it 3-3, with Randle getting his second of the game. In the fourth period, Thomas Allen got the all-important 4th goal for Sol Moors
County went close to equalising when Ellis Holland hit a 30 yard cross-field ball and when Harry Shelley whipped the ball in to the back post, Holland’s volley went just wide. County’s Ally Dare also went close in the dying seconds, but his effort went just over the bar.

U16 Football Alliance: County 2 Oxford Utd 1
County started brightly and dominated the early exchanges, with Oxford being restricted to a few breakaway attacks.
Unfortunately, County were unable to take advantage and after 30 minutes were caught out by a long ball over the top to give Oxford the lead.
This gave them the confidence they needed and County had to defend well to keep the score to one through to half time
Again, County started the second half well, but this time they were able to capitalise on their dominance.
The first goal was straight off the training ground, with a well-worked free kick and delivery by Cuzack which allowed Kasongo to bundle the ball home at the second attempt.
County were well on top now and the second goal quickly followed. An excellent move between Kasongo, Waterhouse and Poole set Kasongo free and he calmly lifted the ball over the Oxford keeper.
Oxford applied tremendous pressure, but County defended well and could have secured the game with two or three good opportunities toward the end but held out to take the game.
