NEWPORT Gwent Dragons director of rugby Lyn Jones will tinker with his winning formula for Saturday's RaboDirect Pro12 clash with Munster (kick-off 6.45pm).
The Dragons head to Cork on the back of a thrilling 23-16 derby win against the Scarlets at Rodney Parade.
Jones will resist making mass changes to his XV but is ready to give opportunities at Musgrave Park to those that have waited patiently.
Half-backs Jonathan Evans and Kris Burton are to be given their first starts of the campaign while Wales Under-20s back row forward Ieuan Jones is set to be involved in the squad.
He is set to back up Fijian number eight Netani Talei from the bench with Lions star Toby Faletau having a block of conditioning work so that he can feature prominently for his region before heading off for autumn international duty with Wales.
Jones stressed that the changes do not mean they are raising the white flag against a Munster side wounded by defeat in Treviso last time out.
"We feel that the time is right," he said. "We were always building towards the Scarlets game and had to establish a team to get up to speed.
"We are now looking to the next phase where it's Munster, Zebre, Mogliano and Bath.
"Everybody will be given the opportunity to show what they can do over the coming weeks because these boys are playing for their livelihoods.
"We will make a couple of changes and need to see people who have been unlucky to miss out on selection. We have the right ingredients to give Munster a tough game."
The Dragons are heading to a city where they have endured nothing but pain; the region's only win in Munster came when they played in Limerick in 2004.
But they head over the Irish Sea in fine fettle after success against Ulster and the Scarlets, much to the delight of their new boss.
"I am really pleased with how quickly we have learnt the lessons," said Jones, who arrived at Rodney Parade in June.
"It took a lot more time for London Welsh to take on board what we were trying to teach last season. The players here have adapted very quickly, the speed with which they learn is why I say there is a good side here.
"We are just getting the fundamentals in place to build something long term rather than a flash in the pan. We've beaten Ulster and the Scarlets but we are not there yet, we know that we are not the finished product and we are not going to run before we can walk."
Dragons squad for Munster: D Evans, M Pewtner, W Harries, R Wardle, T Prydie, H Amos, A Hughes, A Smith, J Dixon, K Burton, J Tovey, L Robling, J Evans, R Rees, W Evans, O Evans, P Price, A Coundley, N Williams, H Gustafson, S Parry, D Way, N Buck, F Chaparro, M Screech, A Jones, R Sidoli, A Coombs, J Groves, N Talei, L Evans, N Cudd, T Faletau, I Jones.
- Lions scrum-half Conor Murray will miss the clash with the Dragons after suffering a foot injury at an Ireland training camp.
