NEWPORT County AFC have parted company with experienced physiotherapist Wayne Jones with immediate effect.
The former Bristol Rovers player and Wales international from Treorchy, who turns 65 next month, joined County in the summer of 2011 after physio roles at Shrewsbury Town, Huddersfield Town, Hereford United, Yeovil Town and Aldershot Town.
A club spokesman said: “Wayne has been with us for more than two years and had some great times with the club.
“But his family is in Kent and he is leaving for family reasons. We’d like to thank him for his service and we wish him all the best for the future.”
Jones will be replaced by Adam Roche for today’s match against Torquay United.
Roche joins from the MK Dons where he was head Academy physiotherapist.
He has previously worked as a physio at Cardiff Blues Academy and Cardiff University Rugby Club after training at Cardiff Metropolitan University.
