CROMWELL under-12s A football team enjoyed a magnificent 7-0 win at Pill AFC on Sunday.
Coach Darren Little said: "The boys showed a stout defence, a creative midfield that took it forward with some great passages of play for not only the strikers to take their chances, but most of the team.
"Most pleasing though, is that this is only their fourth match playing together after six new players were recruited through the summer for the new 9v9 format at the under-12 level age group, so fingers crossed the boys can improve their performances even further."
It was a great weekend for the Cromwell youth teams as thir under-12s B team won 4-3 at home to Caerleon B and the under-11s won 18-0!
The current A team players are Callum Bate, Steven Watt, Matthew Campbell, Hussain Kanth, Ivan Mohammed, Zohaib Abid, Elliot Fagan, Michael Powell, Jake Seville, Callum Fry, Tomos Little, Ryan Worthing and Ethan Jenkins.
The team is still in search of another defender and anybody interested should email DarrenLttl@AOL.com for a trial.
