LEIGH HALFPENNY: His place kicking is superb as always, ending up with 20 points, missing just once out of nine. Good generally as well in both attack and defence. 8
GEORGE NORTH: Took his try well after a lovely inside ball by Mike Phillips but was guilty of butchering an opportunity of what could have resulted in one of the great tries when his lack of vision saw a brilliant move fizzle out. 7
CORY ALLEN: Quiet but assured Test debut by the 20-year-old centre who certainly didn’t look out of place on the international field. Ended badly for him because he misses the rest of the month with a dislocated shoulder. 7
SCOTT WILLIAMS: Was frequently superb in attack, recovering from last week’s disappointing display in the defeat to South Africa and showing his sizzling Scarlets form in the Heineken Cup. 8
LIAM WILLIAMS: Exciting player who looks comfortable on the wing rather than his more accustomed position of full back. His superb inside pass was instrumental to Toby Faletau’s lovely try. 7
DAN BIGGAR: Played well but made one or two basic errors which could have been potentially costly against better opponents. Showed great vision and made some excellent decisions. 7
MIKE PHILLIPS: Great performance by the scrum-half after being outplayed by South Africa No 9 Fourie du Preez a week ago. Finished his interception try well and his lovely inside ball led to George North’s try. 8
GETHIN JENKINS: A great day for a magnificent servant to Wales who enjoyed his 100th cap for his country with a record win over the Pumas. Excellent in the loose and good in the tight. 7
RICHARD HIBBARD: Has matured into a fine player with a tremendous work rate. Excellent in the tight and loose, putting in some thundering tackles, including the one which led to Phillips’ try. 8
RHODRI JONES: Some pundits worried the young Scarlets man would struggle against Leicester’s Marcos Ayerza in the scrum but he proved them wrong. Impressive in open play. 7
BRADLEY DAVIES: Another good day at the office for the second row who is hitting some fine form after a difficult last few years. 7
ALUN WYN JONES: The lock was impressive against tough campaigner Patricio Albacete. It was his fine lineout take which saw George North score his try from Mike Phillips’ cute pass. 8
SAM WARBURTON: The skipper had a good game after switching from openside flanker to the blindside in a well balanced back row. 7
JUSTIN TIPURIC: Yellow card aside for tackling a man without the ball, the skilful No 7 had a decent match with some nice touches. 7
ARGUS STAR MAN: TOBY FALETAU: The Newport Gwent Dragons number eight was sublime and scored a wonderful try, his third for Wales, during an accomplished performance. 9
