NEWPORT Gwent Dragons captain Andrew Coombs sat out Wales' final training session ahead of the Test against Tonga.
The 29-year-old has been selected at blindside flanker for the clash at the Millennium Stadium.
However, assistant coach Rob Howley revealed he did not take part in a run out in Cardiff because of a back injury.
"The decision was made to give him a morning off, but hopefully he'll be available tomorrow night," said Howley.
Coombs has been selected in the back row alongside Justin Tipuric and Ryan Jones with Dan Lydiate and Sam Warburton among the replacements.
