NEWPORT Gwent Dragons boss Lyn Jones didn't pull a surprise like Wales coach Warren Gatland by naming his team ahead of schedule but don't expect many shocks in his matchday squad to face Munster on Friday evening (kick-off 7.15pm).

The Dragons welcome the RaboDirect Pro12 leaders to Rodney Parade on the back of a stunning 23-8 win at title hopefuls Glasgow.

That performance at Scotstoun Stadium will ensure there aren't many new names on the teamsheet for the Munster clash.

"Changes will be kept to a minimum," said director of rugby Jones. "You have to give the boys a vote of confidence from last week.

"They adhered to the plan that we had for Glasgow. That win reinforces that the plan is the correct one, it's just about applying it in as accurate a fashion as we can.

"Consistency is why Munster are such a good side, they have that ability and that's why they find themselves at the top of the tree just for now.

"They have adapted their game since (head coach) Rob Penney came on board and now have more than one way in which they can win a game, which can be testing.

"But we are a group that is growing with confidence and developing."

The Dragons have won five of their six games at Rodney Parade this season and will be looking to repeat last term's dramatic 30-24 win against Munster in Newport.

They will also be looking to get back to winning ways on their own turf in the league after being edged out 23-19 by champions Leinster at the start of the month.

"Leinster played better than us and deserved their victory, so in that sense it wasn't hard to take," said Jones.

"It's only hard to take when you play better than the opposition but things don't go your way and you don't score the points you deserve.

"We learnt a lot from our defeat to Leinster and have moved to improve in those areas.

"The win against Glasgow shows that we are moving in the right direction but our feet are well on the floor and we appreciate that there is a lot more work to do."

Fly-half Steffan Jones, an unused replacement at Scotstoun Stadium, is again preferred to former Italy international Kris Burton as the back-up to Jason Tovey.

The Dragons are still without their Wales contingent of number eight Toby Faletau, wing Hallam Amos and lock Andrew Coombs.

Dragons squad: D Evans, W Harries, M Pewtner, R Wardle, A Smith, P Leach, J Tovey, S Jones, W Evans, R Rees, O Evans, A Coundley, H Gustafson, S Parry, E Dee, D Way, F Chaparro, R Sidoli, C Hill, M Screech, J Groves, S Matthews, N Cudd, J Benjamin, L Evans, N Talei, I Jones.

BLOB Munster will look to make it a Welsh double when they head to Rodney Parade on Friday night.

The Pro12 leaders brushed aside Cardiff Blues 31-10 at the Arms Park last Saturday, securing a bonus point two minutes into the second half.

And they have been boosted by the return of utility back Keith Earls, fly-half Ian Keatley and wing/full-back Luke O'Dea to full training after being out with knee, hip/groin and hamstring injuries respectively.
