THE 13th annual ISCA Duathlon will take place on Sunday, April 6, next year and entries are now being taken for the endurance event.
This year’s duathlon will also be a part of the Welsh National Championships so a strong and competitive field is expected.
The event comprises a 4.2km hilly run race followed by a 16.35km bike ride and finishing with a repeat of the 4.2km run race – all around the University of South Wales sports centre at their Caerleon campus.
The race remains equally attractive to the beginner and intermediate triathlete with the emphasis still remaining on taking part.
Prizes will be awarded to first, second and third senior male and female athletes, first, second and third veteran male and female athletes, first super veteran male and female athletes and first vintage veteran male and female athletes.
All entries received by March 1 will receive a race souvenir.
Last year’s event was won by Alexander Royffe in an impressive time of 59mins 05secs.
