THE hard training paid off for Newport School of Tae Kwon-Do when the won a number of medals at the British Championships.
With thousands of martial artists attending from across the UK, the competition in Cardiff was immense.
Having undergone rigorous training by Master Philip Burley (6th Dan) in the lead up to the competition, Newport Tae Kwon-Do were ready to take on the challenge.
The winners were: Lana Dowler, gold in sparring; Jade Howell, silver in sparring; Rebecca Thorpe, bronze in sparring; Jordan Howell, bronze in patterns, silver in sparring; Paige Phillips, bronze in sparring; Michael Cheung, silver in sparring; Nadia Hassani, bronze in sparring; Lisa Orford-Morgan, bronze in sparring; Patrick Bull, bronze in sparring.
