TONIGHT'S League Two clash between Newport County AFC and Fleetwood Town has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch at Rodney Parade.
Referee Steve Dunne declared the pitch is unplayable with no chance of being fit for tonight and the fixture will now be played on Tuesday, March 4.
This is County's fifth home match to be postponed since December 21 and Tuesday's visit of AFC Wimbledon, already called off once, must be in doubt again with more heavy rain forecast over the weekend.
The Exiles have not played a home match since the shock 2-1 loss to Northampton Town on January 4 and they did explore the option of switching Tuesday's clash to Wimbledon's Kingsmeadow ground.
The Dons have now rejected that proposal and the match will be in Newport if it beats the weather.
Newport Gwent Dragons, who share the ground with County and Newport RFC, are also due to host Edinburgh in the RaboDirect Pro 12 at Rodney Parade on Sunday and a pitch inspection for that match is planned for Saturday at 9am.
