NEWPORT County AFC came down to earth with a bump against the Robins as Cheltenham Town earned a 1-0 win at Rodney Parade.
A scrappy goal from Ashley Vincent after 23 minutes was enough to give the visitors the three points on a desperately disappointing afternoon for the Exiles.
Justin Edinburgh's men piled on the pressure after the break but couldn't find a way through the visitors' defence.
They are now seven points off the play-offs with three games in hand ahead of Tuesday night's rearranged home clash with AFC Wimbledon.
