MANCHESTER City youngster Emyr Huws has been included in Chris Coleman's Wales squad for next month's friendly against Iceland.
The uncapped 20-year-old has earned an opportunity after impressing since joining Birmingham on loan in January.
He features in a 23-man squad for the March 5 match in the absence of Arsenal's Aaron Ramsey, who has been out of action since Boxing Day with a thigh injury.
Gareth Bale, who scored for Real Madrid against Elche over the weekend, is also included.
Huws is the only uncapped outfield player in the party.
Liverpool's Joe Allen, Jack Collison of West Ham, Leicester's Andy King and Crystal Palace pair Joe Ledley and Jonathan Williams make up the midfield contingent.
Huws was on the fringes of Manuel Pellegrini's squad at City in the early part of the season.
He was an unused substitute for a Champions League game against Viktoria Plzen in November and came off the bench for the FA Cup third-round replay win over Blackburn - to play in defence - in January.
He was then allowed to join Birmingham at the end of the month and has made five appearances for Blues. It was his second loan move after a stint at Northampton last season.
