NEWPORT County AFC manager Justin Edinburgh couldn't hide his relief after finally ending a run of one win in 15 games with a 1-0 victory at Torquay United yesterday.
Chris Zebroski's eighth-minute strike was enough to secure the three points against the basement boys, who had Shamir Goodwin sent off in the first half for an apparent elbow on the recalled Mike Flynn.
"The win was very much needed and we obviously hadn't hidden away from the poor run we had been on," said the Exiles boss.
"I think we should have won the game comfortably in the end. For the run that we've been on I thought we controlled the game.
"I was pleased with the general play. We changed the system slightly and I thought we had two very good debutants in Darcy Blake and Kevin Feely."
