TILLERY Combat Mixed Martial Arts Academy pulled off yet another thrilling night of fights at Painpit at Newport Leisure Centre on Saturday, in which a new champion was crowned, and future superstars were unveiled.
In the main event of the evening, Tillery Combat's Owain Parry stepped up to challenge reigning champion Marc Allen for the title of Painpit lightweight champion.
Allen controlled the first round and in the second round the champion took the fight to the canvas.
But Parry just kept his composure and made sure he lasted the round.
The challenger came out in the third round knowing that he had to finish Allen and only 20 seconds in he caught his opponent with a brilliant right hook which dropped him to the floor.
Parry took full advantage of this and pounced straight onto his opponent, submitting him with a rear naked choke.
And so a new champion crowned and Pontypool's Parry took the belt home to Tillery Combat.
