CWMCARN Gymnastics Club is very happy to say they are now 'HOME', after moving back into the Cwmcarn Leisure Centre.
The club has faced a very challenging 15 months when they had to use alternative facilities. Cwmcarn Gymnastics Club would like to say thank you to Islwyn Gymnastics Club/ Torfaen Academy Gymnastics Club and Newbridge Leisure Centre for allowing Cwmcarn to rent their facilities during this difficult time.
The club is very proud that it has been able to put out a strong team of gymnasts who competed at the highest level and achieved amazing results, during this time.
The club would like to say a BIG THANK YOU to all the volunteers, gymnasts and parents for their commitment and patience during this difficult time, which has enabled the club to continue. We look forward to the future and are certain that the club's gymnasts' success will continue.
On their return to Cwmcarn, the club was dismayed to find that several pieces of valuable equipment had been stolen, this included specialist mats and a very expensive Fast Tumble Track which in total added up to more than £10,000 worth of stolen items.
The theft has been reported to the police and an investigation is under way. The club urges anyone that may have information on this theft to contact Gwent Police.
