NEWPORT Gwent Dragons have appointed a new commercial director.
Pete Grzonka has previously worked as sales director at Glamorgan Cricket and head of sales and marketing for Gloucester RFC.
The 38-year-old said, "It's great to be here at the Dragons, it has a proper rugby club feel about it.
"I have attended Rodney Parade, on a match day as a supporter a number of times and have witnessed firsthand the great buzz around the ground amongst both the fans and sponsors.
"The Dragons Club in the Bisley Stand plays host to businesses from the region intermingling on a match day and there appeared to be plenty of deals being done.
"That is exactly the kind of environment that I want to harbour and foster at the club.
"The aim is to make Rodney Parade a place where business is done both in the hospitality suites during the games and in our conference facilities on non-match days.
"I look forward to getting to know our existing partners and developing new relationships with the business community in the region."
