AARON Shingler has got the nod to deputise for Sam Warburton and Justin Tipuric when Wales take on South Africa in Durban on Saturday.
There are no surprises in Warren Gatland’s XV with Dan Lydiate, who made his comeback from a hamstring injury against Eastern Province Kings in midweek, and George North, who was a late withdrawal from the bench for that clash, fit to start at blindside flanker and wing.
With first choice opensides Warburton and Tipuric sidelined by shoulder injuries, Scarlets man Shingler slots in to the back row alongside Lydiate and Taulupe Faletau.
Gatland has plumped for two uncapped players on the bench with livewire Bristol-bound fly-half/full-back Matthew Morgan getting the nod along with Scarlets scrum-half Gareth Davies.
"As coaches we have been impressed in training over the last couple of weeks and there were a couple of tough calls to make but it's great guys like Gareth and Matthew have a chance after putting their hands up,” said the head coach.
