THERE is still time to get your ticket for the Newport County AFC 25th anniversary celebration dinner on Wednesday.
A quarter of a century on from the formation of Newport AFC, the club will return to the splendidly refurbished ballroom of the Lysaght Institute to celebrate.
There will be a three-course dinner, and entertainment from local band Jarzino and guest speaker John Hartson, while players of all eras will be in attendance.
Club president David Hando said: “Following the screening of the BBC Wales documentary Big John nobody could fail to be impressed by John Hartson’s story.
“He was a hero on the football field and also in his battle with ill-health and addiction.
“The dinner will give people the opportunity to hear more from John and shake his hand on what will be a wonderful celebration of the rebirth of our club.”
Tickets cost £35 each and a table of 10 is £350. They are available from the admin offices at Rodney Parade from Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, or from Hando on 07802 487042 or email david.hando@hotmail.com
