WING George North has been passed fit for Wales’ first Test against South Africa in Durban.
The 22-year-old, who has scored 18 tries in his 40 appearances for Wales, had been struggling with a virus and was a late withdrawal from the midweek encounter with Eastern Province Kings.
He did not fly to Durban with the rest of the squad as a precaution but has been given the green light to take on the Springboks.
Attack coach Rob Howley said: "He trained this morning, came through it very well and I'm delighted to say that he's raring to go.
"Obviously it has been a difficult and different week for him but our medical team have looked after him.
"As you can imagine, having not trained for a couple of days he is feeling a little bit rough but he has 36 hours now and he will be ready to go."
North will be lining up against Test newcomer Cornal Hendricks, South Africa’s sevens player of 2013.
