SEVENTEEN-year-old Bassaleg student and Newport Harrier Sebastian Blanch followed up his Wales Athletics Under 20 400m Championship win in Wrexham by winning the Welsh Schools 400m title in Cardiff.
He equalled the all-time record of 48.82 which has stood for 20 years. He has now been selected for Wales U20 v Wales Seniors v England's U20s in the international event at Cardiff International Athletics stadium on Tuesday, July 15.
