TWO goals from Rene Howe and one each for Aaron O’Connor, Joe Parker and Mike Flynn gave Newport County AFC another comfortable pre-season win.
Southern League Cirencester Town were no match for the Exiles on a sunny afternoon in Gloucestershire.
A solitary strike from O’Connor made it 1-0 at the break before the floodgates opened up in the second half.
Howe, who also scored at Evesham United last week, added two quick fire strikes before the hour mark – the first a superb curling effort into the top corner.
Parker, in his first appearance in a County shirt, added a fourth with a fine solo goal as he beat three men before slotting past the keeper with a cool finish.
And Flynn rounded off the victory for Justin Edinburgh’s men with the fifth goal inside the last ten minutes after good work from Christian Jolley.
