HEAD coach Steve Law believes his new Bridge Field recruits fit perfectly into the Bedwas blueprint, writes Chris Kirwan.
Bedwas, who finished sixth in the Principality Premiership last season, have strengthened their pack with lock Josh Walker (Cardiff Met), hooker Alun Rees (Cardiff), lock/back row Alwyn Lee (Cardiff) and front row forward Matthew Jenkins (Bargoed).
They will be charged with securing quality ball for fellow new recruits Joe Smith (Cardiff Met), fly-half Jack Maynard (Cardiff), wing/full-back Steve Taylor (Pontypool) and centres Aaron Pinches (Neath) and Paul Davies (Swansea).
"We believe that we have strengthened our squad in terms of quality and depth and we are looking forward to the season," said head coach Steve Law.
"I'm really pleased with our recruitment – there are no superstars, just some players that will fit into a good, hard-working side."
Bedwas have arranged three pre-season friendlies ahead of their home British and Irish Cup qualifier against Newport on Saturday, August 30.
They host Bargoed on Saturday, August 9, travel to Henley Hawks a week later then take on Cross Keys in a conditioning match on the new 3G pitch at Newport Gwent Dragons' new training base in Ystrad Mynach on Thursday, August 21.
The Premiership pair are among the sides that will use the £6.8million Caerphilly County Borough Centre for Sporting Excellence.
