WING Tom Prydie says Newport Gwent Dragons will be 'fearless' in tonight's European Rugby Challenge Cup semi-final against Edinburgh (kick-off 7.45pm).
The Dragons have played some stunning rugby on their travels in Europe this season to move within 80 minutes of a first final in their history.
It is uncharted territory for the majority of Lyn Jones' inexperienced squad but Wales speedster Prydie doesn't believe they will freeze on the big stage and is confident they have the quality to make it five wins on the bounce.
"Our young players are fearless and they have shown that in the way they have played in Europe and over the last few weeks. That's the approach you need in a semi-final," said the 23-year-old, the second oldest back behind full-back Jason Tovey.
"It's a one-off game and form goes out of the window. Everything in the past counts for nothing, it's all down to tonight and we have to go out there and express ourselves.
"We have some exciting runners in our side and if we can get the balance right, with the forwards carrying on their good form, then I am sure it will be a good spectacle.
"There is a good vibe in the squad, we know that Edinburgh will be a big challenge and it'll be a fierce battle but we are excited by it.
"There's a good edge here at the minute and everyone is looking forward to getting out there at Murrayfield and it would be an amazing achievement to earn a place in the final.
"We all believe in ourselves and know that we are capable of getting the win."
Prydie will look to thrive with ball in hand but will also be charged with keeping Edinburgh try machine Tim Visser in check.
"Visser a great player and is the leading scorer in the history of the Pro12, which speaks for itself," said Prydie.
"He is a big man and a lot of Edinburgh's game revolves around him so it is a big challenge for me but it's good to test yourself against quality players."
Prydie, who won the last of his five caps against Japan in 2013, will set a personal best this evening when he makes his 27th appearance of the campaign.
"I am loving my rugby at the moment," said the winger, who joined from the Ospreys in the summer of 2012. "The back line is firing and we are enjoying playing some good stuff.
"The cup run has been brilliant and games like tonight are what we play the game for. Our winning run means that everything has been positive and training has been fun."
