NEWPORT County AFC are searching for a general manager to become an ‘integral part’ of the football club but anyone wanting to apply for the role will have to be quick – applications close on Monday.
Taking on many of the roles previously fulfilled by former chief executive Dave Boddy, who left his post in January, the successful applicant will be responsible for the day to day running of the business and reporting regularly to the board of directors on the business operations at Newport County AFC.
The main duties and responsibilities will be to oversee all office, club shop and ticket operations within the club, to line manage staff members as directed by the board, to report regularly to the board and conduct regular performance reviews with staff.
Anyone wishing to apply for this role should submit a CV and a covering letter to club secretary Lewis Richards at lewis.richards@newport-county.co.uk.
The club say that all applications must be supported by a letter detailing why the applicant believes they are a suitable candidate for the post and be accompanied with a CV.
The deadline for all applications is 1pm on Monday and any applications received after this time will not be considered.
