DEFENDER Kevin Feely has agreed a new contract to remain at Newport County AFC for another year.
It was a case of burying good news as the Exiles announced Feely's new deal on the same day that they unveiled former England manager Terry Butcher as their new manager.
A club statement released tonight reads: "Newport County AFC are delighted to confirm that defender Kevin Feely has today extended his contract at Rodney Parade that will run until June 2016.
"The former Charlton man who turns 23 in August made 22 appearances for County this season after joining in the summer following a successful loan spell last season."
The Irish under-21 international joins goalkeeper Joe Day and midfielders Yan Klukowski and Mark Byrne as the only County players currently contracted for next season.
