FORGESIDE RFC Mini Rugby returned from another very successful tour to Devon Cliffs.
More than 200 children and parents made the trip to Devon for the weekend with the U7, U8, U10 and U11 teams all enjoying a very successful day of rugby on the Sunday.
The U11s won both their games as they enjoyed a victory against visiting Risca 25-20 and then hosts Witheycombe 15-5.
The U10s drew against Risca 10-10 and then beat Witheycombe 25-10.
The U8s were also successful as they beat Risca 7 tries to 3 and then Witheycombe 8 tries to 1.
The U7s also enjoyed two wins against both Risca and Witheycombe.
Forgeside would like to say a massive thank-you to Witheycombe RFC who, for the second year running, were excellent hosts.
This was the fifth tour that Forgeside Minis have gone on since they were formed in 2011 and this was probably their most successful to date.
The mini section continues to go from strength to strength as next season they will be fielding five teams from U7 to U12.
If any children are interested in joining a very successful club and want to make new friends, along with learning new skills, then come along to training sessions that are held at Forgeside rugby field every Thursday during the summer months.
