NEWPORT County AFC defender Tyler Forbes has joined National League outfit Salford City on loan until the end of the season.
The 23-year-old right-back has made 20 appearances in all competitions this season for the Exiles, including in the historic FA Cup third-round victory over Leicester City in January.
Forbes was a regular in the starting XI at the start of the season and made 14 appearances in August, September and October.
But his opportunities have been limited since the 3-2 defeat at Carlisle United on November 3 with only six appearances since then.
Forbes has not featured since the 3-2 defeat at Crewe Alexandra on January 12, with Regan Poole, Robbie Willmott and David Pipe preferred on the right side of defence or at wing-back.
The former Fleetwood Town and Brighton & Hove Albion player may have played his last game for the Exiles as he is out of contract this summer.
Salford, who are owned by former Manchester United players Ryan Giggs, Gary Neville, Phil Neville, Paul Scholes and Nicky Butt, are chasing promotion to League Two.
They are currently fourth in the National League, six points behind leaders Leyton Orient.
