NEWPORT County AFC have released former Wales international Andrew Crofts as well as defender Tyler Forbes and winger Will Randall following Saturday’s League Two play-off final defeat.
None of the three featured in the loss to Tranmere Rovers at Wembley, although Crofts was an unused substitute.
The veteran midfielder, who turns 35 tomorrow, made just 12 appearances in an injury-ravaged season with the Exiles.
Forbes played 20 times before he moved on loan to Salford City in March.
Randall’s County career lasted a mere 19 minutes as he appeared as a substitute at Colchester United on the day he signed in March and never featured again.
Defenders David Pipe and Fraser Franks have retired, while Regan Poole, Tyreeq Bakinson and Harry McKirdy have seen their loans expire.
Apprentices Liam Bishop, Callum Beckett, Tom Hillman, Owen Taylor and Lucas Murray have also been released.
“The club would like to thank all of the players for their service during the course of the 2018-2019 season and wish all those who are departing in the best with the next stage of their career,” said a club statement.
The players currently under contract for next season are Nick Townsend, Jay Foulston, Scot Bennett, Robbie Willmott, Keanu Marsh-Brown, Momodou Touray, Lewis Collins, Ade Azeez, Padraig Amond and Jamille Matt.

The club says: “Offers have been made and discussions are currently ongoing with several players whose current deals with the club come to an end shortly.
"Updates in relation to these players and new additions to the squad will be released throughout the course of the summer via the club's official website.”
County also confirmed the names of the apprentices who are under contract for next season.
