BRITAIN'S brightest cycling talent will be gunning for glory on the track in Newport next week.
The HSBC UK 2019 National Youth and Junior Track Championships will be held at the Geraint Thomas National Velodrome of Wales from Monday, August 5 to Friday, August 9.
Many of the riders competing have taken part in national and international competitions, and harbour ambitions of representing Great Britain at Olympic, Paralympic and world level.
Garrie Tillett, track cycling development officer at Newport Live, said: "The HSBC UK 2019 National Youth and Junior Track Championships gives potential household names of the future the chance to go head to head and demonstrate their talent as the best in the country.
"It's a great opportunity for some of our younger riders at the Geraint Thomas National Velodrome of Wales to be inspired by some of the UK's best."
Previous winners of titles at the championships include multiple Olympic champions Sir Bradley Wiggins, Jason Kenny and Laura Kenny.
Entry to races at the velodrome is free throughout the competition with doors opening at 9am.
