BIGWELL'S Boxing Day competition dominated the fishery's festive week.
With a great turnout, the weather behaved itself and it didn’t rain until the competition ended at 12 noon.
Lloyd Isgrove was the overall winner with his three fish, with a bag weight of 12lb 12 oz, catching mainly on daddies.
He just beating Ted Skip with a bag weight of 12lb 10oz, including a 2lb time bonus for bagging up before the competition ended. Ted was the winner of the heaviest individual fish, which weighed in at 5lb 6oz.
Robin Vale claimed the trophy for the first fish caught, Garry Wharton was the first to bag up, with his total weight of 11lb 3oz, including a 3lb 8oz time bonus for catching his fish in 20 minutes. A great effort but not quite heavy enough to win.
Congratulations to all who entered, it was a great morning's fishing.
