NEWPORT County AFC winger Corey Whitely has joined National League promotion hopefuls Bromley on loan for the remainder of the season.
The 28-year-old has made 19 appearances for County since his summer arrival from Ebbsfleet United on a two-year deal.
Whitely has scored once for the Exiles so far, in September’s 5-4 defeat to West Ham United under-21s in the Leasing.Com Trophy.
He recovered from a hamstring injury sustained against Brighton & Hove Albion under-21s in the Trophy on December 3 to return to action as a substitute in last week’s FA Cup defeat at Millwall.
Manager Michael Flynn said: "Corey has been in and out of the squad with injuries, this opportunity gives him the perfect chance to get some starts under his belt."
Bromley are currently fourth in the National League, five points behind leaders Barrow and Whitely could make his debut at Barrow next Saturday.
