NEWPORT County AFC manager Michael Flynn is in the running for the League Two Manager of the Month award for September.
Flynn's side are currently sitting pretty at the top of the league, with three wins and a draw from four games.
A comfortable away win against Bolton Wanderers and a tough-fought draw with Scunthorpe have helped the Exiles climb to first place.
Newport have become synonymous with cup upsets in recent years and this season is already showing that this is still the case.

Wins against Swansea and Watford, and a stellar performance against Newcastle, in the Carabao Cup show that the Exiles are still up for the cup.
Flynn has rotated and juggled his side superbly during the opening games of the season and, if they continue as they have been playing, there is no reason that County can't be challenging for a place at the top end of the table at the end of the season.
As well as the County manager, the other nominees for Manager of the Month are John Askey (Port Vale), Mark Bonner (Cambridge United) and Simon Weaver (Harrogate Town).
