WALES made it two wins from two in their bid for the World Cup after Natasha Harding struck early in Estonia.

Gemma Grainger's side recorded a second successive clean sheet to make it a maximum six points after a 6-0 win over Kazakhstan in Llanelli.

They are level on top of Group I with favourites France, who struck in added time to win 3-2 in Slovenia.

Wales had already gone close through Rhiannon Roberts when Harding put them in front in the fifth minute, finishing after being teed up by a fine Jess Fishlock pass.

Roberts, Harding and Rachel Rowe made unsuccessful attempts on goal as Wales went in search of a second, and Kayleigh Green had the ball in the net towards the end of the first half, but the flag was up for offside.

Green subsequently put a chance narrowly wide around the hour mark as Wales continued to dominate without adding to their lead, and Rowe saw a strike from the edge of the box pushed over the bar by goalkeeper Karina Kork in the 80th minute.

Nonetheless, they never looked like letting their lead slip against a well-drilled but limited Estonia side coached by former Wales boss Jarmo Matikainen.

"We set out at the start of this camp to get two wins and that's what we've done," said Grainger, whose side face a key game against Slovenia on October 22.

"We created lots of chances and that's what we wanted to do but we will take a look at what we can improve.

"They set up very well and when you look at Estonia you've got to give them a lot of credit. They set up to block and frustrate us and when playing teams like that, being patient is really important.

"I'm pleased that we are creating chances. When you're creating chances, the next bit will come also."

Wales travel to Slovenia and then entertain Estonia in Cardiff on October 26 before finishing the year with November qualifiers against Greece in Llanelli and the daunting trip to favourites France.

Slovenia thought they had earned what could be a vital point when they levelled at the death only for the French to triumph 3-2 with a goal four minutes into injury time.
