CWMBRAN Town's season-long search for an assistant for London-based Spanish manager Guillermo Ganet has ended with the recruitment of former coach Gary Proctor.

The 48-year-old had a spell coaching with the Crows in the 2001-02 season and the management team of the late Tony Willcox and former Wales defender Mark Aizelwood before he went on take charge of Welsh Premier League outfits Rhadyr Town and Llanelli.

Proctor has joined Cwmbran in time to stand alongside Ganet in the dug-out for Saturday's MacWhirter Welsh League Division One match at Dinas Powys.

"Working with such a great guy as Tony (Willcox) and of course Mark Aizlewood was a very good learning curve for me," said Cardiff-based Proctor.

"Now I'm working alongside Guillermo (Ganet) and I'm really looking forward to the challenge of trying to get the club back to where it belongs - the Welsh Premier League.

Cwmbran secretary Ian Greaney said the club went for Proctor because he fits the bill of knowing local players for possible recruitment.

Meanwhile three more players have joined the recent exodus through the Cwmbran Stadium exit door.

Following the departures of Moses Molongo, Christopher Omuta and Shola Oyinloye, the Crows lost another trio in Jean-Black Ngody, Azeez Akinbolu and Mark McGibbon, who was sent off on his debut for WPL side Port Talbot town.

Now midfielder Raful Abdul and striker Ohene Quinhare have also been transferred back to Pontypridd Town and Maesteg Park respectively while defender Roland Duo has returned to Kent league club Erith Town.
