NEWPORT County boss Peter Beadle is backing fellow Blue Square South side Havant & Waterlooville to take Swansea all the way to penalties in tonight's FA Cup third round replay.
The Exiles welcome Havant to Spytty Park for a league clash on Saturday and Beadle is hoping they're worn out by their exploits in the cup.
"From our point of view we'd like it to go to extra-time, penalties and sudden-death penalties and for it to end 27-26, just so they're completely out of it when they come to us at the weekend," said Beadle.
"It'll be a good game and it's difficult to call," he added. "I think maybe Swansea took the first game a little bit lightly and with their fantastic squad you'd have to say they should come out on top, but you never know."
With Havant making a name for themselves in the oldest cup competition and County outplaying Torquay for long periods in last Saturday's FA Trophy tie, Beadle believes it shows how strong the Conference South league is.
"It's great for the league that Havant have got this far and that ourselves and a few others have done it in the Trophy," he said.
"It proves that football is about 11 v 11 and on the day the underdog can rise to the occasion but we've got to show it's not just a one-off.
"I was delighted with the way we played against Torquay but we knew we couldn't take our foot off the pedal one bit because of the quality of the opposition. The trick is to get the team playing like that week-in week-out."
Beadle is hopeful that Jason Bowen will have recovered from his knee injury in time for Saturday's game but Julian Alsop will serve a one-game suspension.
Centre-back Lee Jarman is available again after sitting out the Torquay game with a ban but faces a fight to regain his place after Mark Dodds deputised so superbly on Saturday.
"With the goal and his all-round display Doddsy has certainly staked his claim," said Beadle.
"It would be hard for me to leave anyone out after the way we played and it just shows how much quality we have in this squad now."
