Newport darts sensation Kimberley Lewis was an animated observer as she watched Welshman Mark Webster capture the BDO Lakeside World Championship .
The 14-year-old cheered on number one seed Webster as he overcame Aussie Simon Whitlock in a thrilling final at the weekend.
"Kimberley stayed up and really enjoyed the game," said her mum Sarah.
"She's met Mark before and I think she'll be really inspired by his performance."
The teenage star has hopes of eclipsing Webster's success and capturing her first world title by the time she's 18.
Kimberley is top of the Gwent averages for women and regularly competes in senior events.
Her blossoming young career has seen her represent Wales at international level in Australia at the Youth World Cup and throughout Europe.
Nicknamed The Golden Child', Kimberley, who has already competed and won at some of the sport's most famous venues, became the two-time defending World Youth Masters Champion in November after whitewashing England's Amy Chappell 4-0.
The young hotshot is performing well beyond her tender years and is a big attraction every time she's on the oche with onlookers marvelling at some of her displays.
Kimberley has a challenging schedule in 2008 with a host of tournaments lined up including a return to Bridlington, Yorkshire, to defend her coveted World Youth Masters crown in November.
