THE weather again severely dented the football league programme on the weekend restricting it to just ten games. The two games played in the Premier X both ended in draws. A Shaun Collins goal for St Julians Youth gave them hope of victory until a late goal for Llanwern Sports and Social squared everything at 1-1.
Just one game in the Premier Y saw a feast of goals for the spectators. A strong Trethomas Bluebirds side had too much for Spencer Boys Club, running out 12-1 winners. The Bluebirds goals came from Ryan Gullford (3), Matthew Hall (2), Matthew McCole (2), Gareth Sullivan, Phillip Griffiths, Lee Richards and Stuart Olsen was followed by a token reply by Stephen Williams for Spencer.
Shaftesbury Youth continue their excellent run with a 6-1 win against Croesyceiliog. Division One leaders Shaftesbury found themselves two goals in front after ten minutes and 2-1 at half-time.
