WALES forward pair Colin Charvis and Rhys Thomas have given Newport Gwent Dragons a lift for tomorrow's Heineken Cup clash against Perpignan at Rodney Parade.
Both have reported fit again after missing the London Irish game last week with calf and rib injuries, respectively.
Thomas is the only Dragons player to be named in new Wales coach Warren Gatland's Six Nations squad while Charvis has been told there could still be a place for him if injuries arise.
Centre Ashley Smith has failed to recover sufficiently to make the starting line-up after injuring his back against the Irish, though he could just make the bench.
Full back Kevin Morgan, still hoping to win the one more cap that would take his tally to 50, is also out mainly because of an Achilles' tendon injury and hooker Steve Jones is sidelined with neck/shoulder damage.
There is also a doubt about ever-present winger Richard Mustoe, who has a fitness test on a slight groin injury tomorrow.
Gareth Wyatt stands by after being out for six weeks with a damaged shoulder.
The Dragons are still hard hit by injuries with 13 players ruled out - two full backs and three centres plus eight forwards all unavailable.
The injury roll call now reads: Morgan, Martyn Thomas (groin), Rhodri Davies (foot), Gareth Maule (knee), Smith, Jamie Corsi (elbow), Lee Harrison (foot), Jones, Luke Charteris (neck/shoulder), Dan Lydi-ate (neck), Nic Fitisemanu (shoulder), Richard Parks (knee) and Jamie Ringer (shoulder).
Aled Thomas, normally an outside half, continues at full back and in the centre Phil Dollman makes his first start since the second game of the season against Cardiff Blues.
Wayne Evans remains at scrum half with Andy Williams still a slight doubt because of a shoulder problem.
Apart from the return of Charvis and Thomas up front Adam Jones comes back at lock to partner Peter Sidoli, with Andrew Hall on the bench.
Coach Paul Turner has gone for a five-two split among the replacements mainly because he is running out of backs, but the make-up will not be finalised until the morning.
The Dragons have not trained on the Rodney Parade pitch this week to try to preserve it as best they can after all the heavy rain to ensure the Perpignan game goes ahead.
The French team, who will have former Rodney Parade favourite Percy Montgomery with them, were due to train at Cwmbran Stadium this afternoon, again to avoid the Rodney Parade pitch from cutting up any further.
Dragons team: A Thomas, R Mustoe/G Wyatt, P Emerick, P Dollman, R Fussell, C Sweeney, W Evans, A Black, B Daly, R Thomas, A Jones, P Sidoli, J Bearman, M Owen, C Charvis (captain). Replacements: K Crawford, H Gustafson, G Robinson, A Hall, L Evans, from: A Williams/A Walker, G Wyatt/A Smith. Kick off 1.30pm.
