EBBW Vale may have booked their place in Tuesday's draw for round five of the Konica Minolta Cup but head coach Pat Horgan was not a happy man in the wake of their win over Caerphilly.
The Steelmen were always in control of the game but Horgan felt it wasn't a performance worthy of a side that sits second in the Premiership table.
"It was a poor performance full of basic errors and taking the wrong options," he said. "I don't know why people got sloppy because they had something to prove after Bridgend (when they were thumped 32-6).
"It was a lovely day and an opportunity to perform well and make good decisions but for some reason they took the foot off the gas. There are no excuses.
"You could say it was partly down to not having played for a few weeks and having a bit of rustiness because of having to train indoors a lot but it still isn't good enough.
"People were trying to offload all the time, kicking was poor, passing was off and people kept looking for the gaps themselves every time. It is down to individuals and that isn't good enough.
"Sure, it's good to be in the next round but a performance like that isn't worth celebrating and we will need to improve massively when Neath come here."
