Fifteen of the regions' best players from Gwent Hockey Club have been called on to represent their club on the international stage at the EuroHockey Club Challenge III.
The club will face hosts Alanya Stars in Turkey between June 8 and 11 as well as teams from Luxemburg and Gibraltar, plus local rivals Swansea who have also qualified for the competition.
"We are thrilled to be represented by an outstanding team at this year's competition," said vice chairman Tim Miller.
"I know the team are training hard and preparing themselves for difficult matches under Turkey's hot sun."
The club has produced some of the biggest names in Welsh hockey, including Jacob Draper who represented Team GB at the Tokyo Olympics last year.
The club is grateful to Hockey Wales, the official body for the sport in Wales, for their financial support to participate in the competition.
They will also be holding a club open day on Sunday with proceeds going towards travel expenses.
"We are all amateur players at Gwent Hockey Club, so it's a big fundraising effort to get us to Turkey," said Rosie Davey, captain of the ladies first team.
"We warmly welcome everyone in the community to join us at Cwmbran Stadium on May 1 to show their support and buy a raffle ticket."
