WAYNE Pivac was handed a double injury boost as captain Dan Biggar and prop Dillon Lewis have recovered from knocks ahead of Saturday's third test with South Africa.
Biggar was forced off early in the second half of the 13-12 win in Bloemfontein, replaced by match-winner Gareth Anscombe, but has proved his fitness to retain his place for the decider.
Lewis was also replaced after picking up an elbow injury, but has also recovered to start in Cape Town.
One player who won’t be featuring is Alex Cuthbert, whose return to the side was cut short prematurely due to a shoulder injury.
Speaking ahead of the third test, Biggar admitted there were a few walking wounded in the camp this past week.
“I managed to get through training this (Thursday) morning, which was the last little hurdle,” he said.
“I have been managed well all week and the medics have been brilliant. I feel pretty good and confident in taking to the field on Saturday.
“It’s been a lot of time spent in the physio room. A lot of time just recovering.
“I think mentally just taking a couple of days to switch off from a tough game and enjoy a little bit of relaxing and recovering mentally and physically. Not a huge amount of training.
“I didn’t feel like it was ever dislocated or anything like that. I knew it was a pretty heavy contact. It was just whether it would settle down in time and fingers crossed it looks like it did.
“There’s been a few dinged up bodies around the place. It’s just about getting ourselves right for Saturday now.”
