AFTER weeks of pledging to keep their eyes firmly focused on the next fixture in front of them, both Pontypool and Caerphilly can finally give their clash at Virginia Park their undivided attention.
It remains advantage Pooler with tomorrow's hosts leading by just two points after playing two games more. An away win for Gareth Lintern's side would put them on the cusp of promotion and they would remain in control of their own destiny even in defeat.
But the aim is to ease the nerves with a win that would ensure they leapfrog the Cheesemen and put them a win away from a return to the Premiership.
"It's a big game but there are obviously others to come, so while some are saying it's a huge game that's probably more the case for Caerphilly who really need to win," said head coach Gareth Lintern.
"All I want is for us to prepare and perform as we have done over the last few weeks and to ensure that the importance of the game doesn't affect that.
"In any campaign it's important towards the end to gather momentum and the pleasing thing is that we have gone from strength to strength.
"We need to keep it going for the next four games, but first up is Caerphilly and we are focused entirely on that."
At the other end of the table, Newport Saracens have shown tremendous spirit to pull away from the bottom.
Defeat in midweek to Bargoed ended an impressive run in which Beddau, Newbridge and Blackwood were sent packing, but a return to winning ways against basement side Fleur de Lys would ease their relegation fears Sarries will be hoping for another favour from Llanharan, who look for their second win over second-bottom Llantrisant in a week, so that they can face the Black Army in good shape when they clash on April 29.
Blackwood, fresh from a 28-28 draw with Rumney on Wednesday, host Bargoed with both sides battling for third spot.
Newbridge travel to last season's champs Beddau looking to get last week's one-point defeat to leaders Caerphilly out of their system while Rumney host UWIC in the day's other fixture.
