DRAGONS under-18s forwards coach George Nott praised the progress made by the team this season as they beat RGC under-18s at Ystrad Mynach.
The home side racked up a nine try victory, beating the visitors 59-29 with scores from Ioan Duggan (2), Ryan Jones, Guy Thomas, Evan Barber, Jack Woods, Oscar Watkins, Harry Rees- Weldon and Dray Jack-Griffin.
Nott, who has been helping coaching the team this season, is pleased with the progress and gave a positive reflection on the performance.
He said: “We expected a scoreline like that as we gave the boys a licence to play. You don’t do that lightly, you do that if they players are up to it and have good skill sets.
“There were lots of tap and goes and quick play which was reflected in the score. We are constantly looking for improvements.

“We conceded more than we would like, and we have given them a point lead on the road. We need to get better on a few areas. Discipline is a recurring issue.
“We are buzzing with the win, but we will be critical about a few areas too. It’s only a short season for the boys, but to see improvement from the start, individually and as a team, they have improved a lot.
“It is rewarding as a coach to see that and it is exciting for them as individuals to see how good they can be.”
Dragons under-18s are back in action this evening Wednesday, kick off time of 7.15pm, when they face Scarlets under-18s.
Nott added: “We take it game by game so we will create a game plan for that.
“We’ll be looking for improvements. The boys have shown glimpses on what we can do, it’s about being consistent now.
“One thing we have driven home has been about that togetherness and you are starting to see that reflected in the performances. We will keep building on that.”
