GERWYN Price was welcomed with support from fans belting out Yma O Hyd in his 6-5 win over Chris Dobey at the PDC Premier league match in Cardiff last night.
Crowds at the Motorpoint Arena sang a rendition of Yma O Hyd, to inspire the Blackwood darts player to victory.
Known as the Iceman, he is often used to abusive taunts from fans, and last month resorted to wearing ear defenders to block out the noise in his quarter final defeat against Gabriel Clements.
Following the raucous abuse at the Alexandra Palace, the 37-year-old threatened to never play in the World Championship again following backlash from wearing the defenders.

But last night was a totally different story for the Welshman, as the home crowd rallied behind him as he enjoyed a dream home coming with victories over Chris Dobey, Michael van Gerwen and Nathan Aspinall.
The Markham legend was blown away by the support from the crowd, he said: “I’m lost for words, I don’t get this reception very often, so I appreciate every bit of support it was fantastic.
“The crowd got me over the line. I wasn’t in the best form; I was playing well before I was ill at the masters and then I started feeling sorry for myself.
“I’m still not 100 per cent, but I felt better tonight, and hopefully over the next couple of weeks I will get my form back.”

The Former World Champion claimed the £10,000 bonus prize in the capital and claimed five league points in night two of the competition.
The Iceman will next be in action in the Cazoo Premier League at the OVO hydro in Glasgow where he will face World number one and World Champion Michael Smith on Thursday, February 16.
