DRAGONS back rower Aaron Wainwright will start for the Barbarians at Twickenham on Sunday against a World XV that features Elliot Dee on the bench.
The Rodney Parade duo are playing in the London clash (kick-off 2pm) to get game time ahead of linking up with Wales for their first World Cup training camp.
The Dragons forwards last played in the Judgement Day win against the Scarlets at Principality Stadium on April 22.
Wainwright, who made his Baa Baas debut off the bench against an All Blacks XV in November, starts at blindside flanker for Eddie Jones’ side.
He is joined in the starting line-up by Wales legend Alun Wyn Jones, who captains the side from lock after announcing his retirement from international rugby last week.
Wales fly-half Gareth Anscombe starts at full-back but number eight Taulupe Faletau is unavailable after initially being named in the extended squad.
Hooker Dee will come off the bench at Twickenham after Scotland's Fraser Brown was given the nod in the 2 jersey for the World XV, who are coached by Steve Hansen.
Fly-half Rhys Patchell, who is on the Dragons' radar after leaving the Scarlets, is also among the replacements but loosehead Wyn Jones gets a start alongside superstars Semi Radradra, Charles Puitau and the controversial Israel Folau.
