CWMBRAN Celtic have paid tribute to James Kinsella for bringing “a spirit of unity and togetherness” after the long-standing manager announced he will step down.

The stalwart will leave Celtic at the end of the current campaign with the Gwent side sitting 11th in the Cymru South.

“James has been instrumental in establishing Celtic as a proven outfit in Welsh football at the highest level,” read a club statement.

“His tireless efforts have not only shaped the men’s team but also the ladies’ first team, along with his unwavering support for all levels of the club from minis to vets.

“Under James’ guidance, a spirit of unity and togetherness has flourished within the club, earning admiration and envy from peers across the league.

“His legacy will be felt long after his departure, and the club wishes to express profound thanks and gratitude for his outstanding contributions.

“As James embarks on a new chapter, we extend our best wishes for his future endeavours. Thank you, James, for your unwavering dedication and passion. You will always be part of the Celtic family.

“The whole club and local football fraternity wish you all the best for the rest of the season – we’re sure the boys and ladies will do you proud and send you off with a bang!”

Cwmbran Celtic have nine league games left and host Baglan Dragons on Saturday when they will try to increase their lead over the relegation zone.

One-from bottom Abertillery Bluebirds entertain Goytre United on Saturday while bottom club Abergavenny Town host Ammanford on Friday night.
