NEWPORT City FC and Trethomas Bluebirds hunt glory in the semi-finals of the FAW Trophy this weekend.
The Bluebirds became the third Gwent side to lift the cup last season when they beat Denbigh 2-1 in Newtown.
They are aiming to defend the Dragon Signs FAW Amateur Trophy and face Penrhyncoch at Stadiwm LHP in Carmarthen on Saturday (kick-off 2pm).
Trethomas are top of Ardal South East and are yet to be beaten with 17 wins and three draws but face a stern test against the Roosters, who are top of Ardal North East with a commanding lead.
Newport City will hope to watch that game with interest to find out their opponents in the final as they take on Cefn Cribwr at the Bont Playing Fields in Penydarren on Friday (kick-off 7.30pm).
City are currently third in Ardal SE, five points behind second-placed Risca United in the battle for a play-off spot with four games in hand, while their opponents are fourth in Ardal SW.
Trethomas beat Aberbargoed 3-2, Port Talbot Town 7-0, Llanfairpwll 7-0 and Lliswerry 4-1 before a 2-1 success against Holyhead Hotspur in the quarter-finals.
Newport beat Brecon Corries 6-1, Garden Village 5-2, AFC Llwydcoed 4-1 and Y Rhyl 1879 2-1 to earn a home tie against Llannefydd in the last eight, winning 4-1.
