DRAGONS wing Walker Price will start for Wales in their World Rugby U20 Championship finale against South Africa on Friday after answering an injury SOS.

The 20-year-old from Rogerstone was a firm fixture in the side in the Six Nations but missed out on selection for the summer tournament.

However, the winger was given a late call-up and was flown out to go into the XV for the seventh-place play-off with the Junior Boks at DHL Stadium (kick-off 1pm).

A pair of Dragons speedsters have already flown back from South Africa after full-back Huw Anderson suffered illness after the opening weekend defeat to New Zealand and wing Harry Rees-Weldon damaged a hamstring against Spain.

Price is one of five Dragons in the matchday 23 with captain and flanker Ryan Woodman playing his final age-grade game when making his fifth successive start in the tournament.

Harri Ford gets the nod at fly-half – charged with getting an exciting back line featuring exciting centres Louie Hennessey and Macs Page moving – while lock Nick Thomas and back row forward Owen Conquer are among the replacements.

Wales have won just one game, against minnows Spain, but it has been an encouraging campaign with clear progress from the Six Nations.

They will try to finish with a flourish after losing 36-29 to Australia last time out on a heavy pitch in Stellenbosch.

Scarlets prospect Page raced over for a hat-trick with hooker Isaac Young and full-back Matty Young also crossing.

Hosts South Africa will aim to sign off on home soil with victory after losing to Argentina 34-24, that after suffering losses to England and the Pumas in the group stages.

Wales' game at DHL Stadium is followed by the third-place play-off between Ireland and New Zealand (kick-off 3.30pm).

The trophy will be lifted by the winner of England and France (kick-off 6pm), with the French hunting a fourth title on the spin.

The English can take confidence from a win in Pau that secured the Six Nations title in March.
