WALES have learnt their route to a first major finals after the draw for the Euro 2025 play-offs.
Rhian Wilkinson’s side will go up against Slovakia in the semi-finals with first leg away on Friday, October 25 and a decider at Cardiff City Stadium on Tuesday, October 29 (kick-off 7.15pm).
If the Welsh women are successful then they could lock horns with the Republic of Ireland, who will go up against Georgia first up.
The first leg would be in Wales on Friday, November 29 with the return fixture on Tuesday, December 3 for a spot at the tournament in Switzerland next July.
The seven play-off winners will join the hosts and direct qualifiers Denmark, England, France, Germany, Iceland, Italy, the Netherlands and Spain in the draw for the finals on December 16.
Wales, ranked 31st in the world, will be favourites against Slovakia, ranked 50th.
The Irish are six places above Wilkinson’s side but it was a Welsh success when the sides clashed in a friendly in February, Jess Fishlock and Lily Woodham scoring in a 2-0 victory in Dublin.
